This Privacy Policy explains how WellVersed ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the WellVersed mobile application (the "App") and the website getwellversed.app (together, the "Services"). WellVersed helps you learn Qur'anic Arabic vocabulary through lessons, verses, and quizzes.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Email address — if you choose to sign up, we collect your email so we can save your progress and streak and, where you've opted in, send you product updates.
• Name (optional) — used only to personalize your experience.

You can use the core learning features without creating an account; in that case your progress is stored only on your device.

Information collected automatically

• Diagnostics & crash data — through a crash-reporting service we record crashes and errors (e.g. device model, operating system version, app version, and technical logs) so we can fix problems.
• Push notification identifiers — if you allow notifications, a push-notification service assigns a device push token and basic device information to deliver reminders and updates.
• Purchase information — if you make an in-app purchase (such as restoring a streak), our payment provider and the app store process the transaction and share purchase status with us. We never receive your full card details.
• On-device learning data — your lessons completed, words learned, streak, and saved words are stored locally on your device. If you sign up with email, a copy of relevant progress may be linked to your account so you can restore it on a new phone.

2. How we use information

• To provide and personalize the learning experience and save your progress.
• To send reminders and, with your consent, occasional product news and marketing emails.
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve reliability and content.
• To process and validate in-app purchases.
• To respond to your support requests.

3. Service providers

We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate WellVersed — for example, secure cloud hosting and databases, crash and error diagnostics, push notifications, and payment processing. These providers process data only on our behalf, and are bound by agreements requiring them to protect it and use it solely to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

4. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Diagnostic data is retained for a limited period by our providers. You may ask us to delete your account data at any time (see "Your rights").

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent to marketing. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@getwellversed.app and we'll respond within a reasonable time. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.

6. Children's privacy

WellVersed is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide additional notice in the App or by email.
